Onward Search is partnering with a Game Development Studio to hire a Graphics Engineer!

As a Graphics Engineer, you will collaborate with game designers and technical artists to create cutting-edge graphics and visual features. Your primary responsibility will be to research, implement, and integrate these features into their graphics engine. You will work closely with the C++ and HLSL shader code, provide support, and diagnose any issues that arise during development and future releases. The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about tackling technical challenges, possesses a deep understanding of tried-and-true solutions, and can differentiate between them based on their experience.

This is a remote, permanent staff opportunity open to candidates in the U.S. or Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Dive into complex rendering systems written in both C++ and shader code, understanding their interdependencies and how they function together.
  • Leverage strong graphics expertise to enhance game experiences and optimize gameplay performance.
  • Utilize graphics debugging and performance tools such as RenderDoc and nVidia nSight effectively and at appropriate stages.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement new features into the existing graphics pipeline.
  • Apply advanced mathematical skills, such as Spherical Harmonics, when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Gameplay, Engine, or Graphics Programmer, or in similar roles.
  • Proficiency in UE4 Rendering Pipeline.
  • Strong coding skills in C++ and HLSL.
  • Familiarity with complex GPU particle systems, particularly in UE4

Pay: $130,000 - $140,000 yearly
