Onward Search's FinTech client is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join their cutting edge team.
Responsibilities:
Establishing technical procedures to facilitate accurate reporting of automated discoveries
Enhancing and automating workflows for vulnerability management to ensure effective handling of automated discoveries
Creating or improving tools and services to bolster vulnerability management efforts
Ensuring prompt and effective resolution of vulnerability-related tasks such as identification, mitigation, validation, and verification
Setting up automated connections between asset inventory and vulnerability data
Generating reports detailing crucial metrics pertinent to vulnerability management
Desired Outcomes:
Establishment of a high-fidelity automated vulnerability management pipeline, featuring consistent validation and assessment models
Development of a unified and standardized repository and service dedicated to automated discoveries, driving engagement through ticketing, alerts, workflow oversight, etc.
Creation of a comprehensive and automated system for handling exceptions
Enhancement of workflow automation for both manual and automated findings, utilizing platforms like Jira or a new user interface/findings hub
Creation of seamless and automated links between asset data and vulnerability information

Your Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
Over 3 years of experience in engineering and automation
Expertise in the realm of Vulnerability Management
Effective communication skills, capable of translating intricate security requirements and risks into easily understandable terms
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and resolve obstacles independently
Desirable Skills:
Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science or a related discipline
Previous involvement in secure software development
Familiarity with programming languages, data structures, and algorithms
Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, Go, Ruby, or Python
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and deploying production-grade services
