Our client, a video game company, is seeking a Social Media Manager to join the Global Marketing Player Community team.
Responsibilities:
Work within the team to manage the global social media channels, optimize and deploy social content, and coordinate with our international social teams to execute campaigns for MOBA products
Help support team goals, develop player-focused content, and support our international social teams to ensure content is localized and relevant to players in every region
Identifying new opportunities to scale social marketing efforts and level up the craft within the company
Collaborate with various internal teams and external partners to deliver on the high expectations of both internal teams and our global players
Execute, optimize and support social content and publishing strategies for assigned products and campaigns within the MOBA portfolio, owning the day-to-day operations
Manage and operate official MOBA global social media channels across established and emerging platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube) including content calendar planning, publishing, copywriting, asset management, and managing social communities with a player-first mindset
Communicate with the Global and Regional social teams on an ongoing basis to ensure campaign coordination and amplification efforts are aligned
Work collaboratively across Community, Brand, Creative, Editorial, Influencer, and PR teams to champion player-first ideas and build globally integrated campaigns and strategies
Foster global social conversation with existing players and potential new fans, build engaged communities, and propose new ways to engage with them through our owned social channels
Identify gaming and social media trends, best practices and opportunities to inspire relevant content and innovation
Assist in managing multiple campaigns simultaneously and effectively, thoughtfully prioritizing and problem solving
Musts:
4+ years relevant professional experience in social media management, digital marketing, or equivalent
Proficient in all relevant social media platforms, with direct experience in publishing and content optimization for TikTok, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube
Familiarity with platform tools such as Tweetdeck, Sprinklr, Airtable
Experience building, executing, and scaling social media campaigns across multiple platforms with a proven track record of growing audiences and delivering on engagement metrics
Proactive and collaborative mindset
Passion for and in-depth knowledge of digital media landscape and internet culture
Define and own strategy, excellent project management skills,
Deep and current knowledge of each platform’s unique offerings and trends
Keen eye for compelling and innovative content, and a passion for continuous improvement
Pluses:
Basic proficiency in Photoshop and other creative tools
Experience in gaming and a passion for video games
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, readily adapting to changing priorities, nuanced feedback and tight project time frames
Exception verbal and written skills
Experience at an agency working on social campaigns within gaming or entertainment, and/or experience briefing and managing creative agencies
